Crypto casino Vave — could this be the worst one?
Launched in 2022, Vave crypto casino now offers a huge range of over 9,000 slots, crash, table, and live casino games, plus sports and esports betting. Originally based and licensed in Curaçao, the casino is now owned by a Costa Rica-based company and is unlicensed. According to Ahrefs, at the time of writing, Vave was particularly popular with Japanese, American, and Indian players.
In this original CoinBets review of Vave casino, I’ll be finding out if this platform is still worth your time and crypto. As always, I’ll be opening an account, depositing real crypto, playing multiple games, and checking out the bonuses, payments, rewards, and features.
So, is Vave worth joining? Let’s find out.
License and Security
Vave is operated by CHESTOPTION SOCIEDAD DE RESPONSABILIDAD LIMITADA, which is registered in Costa Rica (Corporate ID No. 3-102-876612). At the time of writing this Vave review, it appeared to be operating without any gambling license.
The site connection is secure and the security certificate is valid
Welcome Bonus
The main carousel banner was advertising the Vave welcome bonus as worth “up to 1.5 BTC” (+ 100 free spins – which you don’t find out about until you sign up). Now, at the time of writing in July 2025 should make it worth approximately USD $163,000 – seems pretty generous!
But is it really any good? Let’s look under the hood:
First Deposit Casino Bonus: 150% up to 1.5 BTC + 100 Free Spins
Minumum deposit 20 USDT
150x wagering requirement (only slots count – excluding specifically listed titles)
Bonus released in installments based on wagering
Need to press “Credit to Balance” button to use funds
Bonus needs to be wagered within 30 days
Free spins are awarded in batches of 25 spins per day over 4 days
Free spins valid for Wild Cash from BGaming only
No maximum bet

Okay, this is a truly horrible casino welcome bonus. For starters, the terms are confusing and incomplete, and secondly, it’s got a 150x wagering requirement. That right there is enough to stop and run. Really, there’s little point in analysing this any more – or the second, third, and fourth deposit bonuses.
150x is terrible whichever way you look at it, and explains why Vave has opted to release the bonus in installments to make it harder for players to figure out what’s going on. Also note, the sports first deposit bonus is subject to an even more insane 250x wagering requirement!
Opening a New Account
Signing up with Vave casino is simple enough, but the only option is to use your email. You can’t log in with third parties like Google, Steam, or Discord, and there’s no support for Web3 wallets like MetaMask or Phantom.
Enter your email address, choose a strong password, enter a promo code if you have one, and confirm you’re over 18 and agree to the Legal Terms and Privacy Policy. Click “Join.”
Important: Joining Vave is KYC-free, but you may be required to provide identity documents before cashing out. Although Vave is unlicensed, it still specifically prohibits players from the following countries from wagering real funds: Belarus, Curacao, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Сyprus, France, and the Netherlands. As usual, the casino will happily let players from these countries join and deposit, but withdrawing will likely be a different story.
Payments
Vave casino supports a reasonable range of cryptocurrencies, but there are no fiat options at all.
Crypto Deposits & Withdrawals:

To make a crypto deposit, navigate to “Cashier”, then select “Deposit.” Choose your crypto and network (if applicable). You will be provided with a unique crypto wallet deposit address in both text and QR code formats.

To withdraw crypto, go to “Cashier” and select “Withdrawal.” Choose the crypto and network (if applicable), enter the address of the wallet you want to withdraw to and state the amount you want to transfer. The estimated transaction fee will be displayed. If everything looks okay, click “Submit Withdraw.”

CoinBets.com Tip: Always double-check crypto wallet addresses after pasting them – you don’t want to fall victim to ‘PasteJacking’. This is when hackers exploit the copy-paste function to change wallet addresses to steal funds.
Buying Crypto
Like many of the best crypto casinos, Vave allows you to purchase crypto on-site via third-party exchange widgets, including Changelly and MoonPay.

Game Selection
Vave offers more than 9,000 casino games from over 100 providers – which is undeniably impressive. The lobby is reasonably well organized, with some helpful categories, like Bonus Buy, New, and Daily Drops & Wins – but it could really use some granular filters.

In common with virtually every online casino, the vast majority of games at Vave are slots. At the time of writing, some of the most popular included Gates of Olympus Super Scatter from Pragmatic Play, Snoop Dogg Dollars from BGaming, Majestic Wild Buffalo from Spinomenal, and Hot Money Slot from TrueLab.
While the choice is huge, the lack of filters makes browsing a bit of a chore here. Nevertheless, Megaways fans are well catered for with hundreds of titles, ranging from Wolf Power Megaways and Legend of Cleopatra Megaways by Playson, to Stadium Megaways by 1x2Gaming, and Zillard King Megaways from Red Tiger Gaming. Jackpot slots are available, but you won’t find huge progressive jackpots like Mega Moolah here.

Cyber 3×3 (PoggiPlay)
PoggiPlay? Huh? Yep, never heard of it, so I had to play! Specifically, I chose Cyber 3×3. Funnily enough, it takes a 3×3 format and has a futuristic cyber theme. And, I admit, I wasn’t expecting much from it – but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Despite being relatively simple, the gameplay is fast, and the multiplier-centred action and free spins keep the excitement high. Plus, this game delivered real results. After betting just 25 USDT on small 0.50 USDT bets, I’d won a nice 81.40 – equating to a real RTP of 325.6%. Considerably higher than the theoretical 96.3%!
I’ll definitely be checking out more PoggiPlay slots.
Dragon Gold 88 (Pragmatic Play)
After testing the waters with a new provider, I figured I’d play it ‘safe’ and choose a Pragmatic Play slot for my next session. My selection: Dragon Gold 88 – actually a Reel Kingdom title under the Pragmatic umbrella.
Now, this traditional Chinese-themed slot seemed promising. The main attraction is 5 different bonuses in the free spins game: More Dragon Balls; More Dragons; More Dynamite Claws, and Firecrackers; Level Up; Extra Free Spins. As you can see, there are plenty of possibilities to boost those wins.
So what happened? Well, after betting 50 USDT in 1-dollar bets, I’d only won back a miserable 13.70 USDT. Yep, that’s a paltry 27.4% RTP compared to the theoretical 95.67%.
Oh well, you can’t win em’ all.
While there’s no dedicated crash games category at Vave, if you go to the Slots lobby, you will find a category called “Other.” And that’s where you’ll find plenty of crash games and other instant wins.
On the crash front, you’ll find a good choice, including the ubiquitous Aviator from Spribe and AviaMasters from BGaming, along with Sugar Daddy and Chicken Road from InOut. Additionally, you’ll find instant games like Tower Rush from Galaxys, Neon Shapes from Evoplay, and Scratch Alpaca from BGaming.

In terms of numbers, at first glance the Vave live casino looks incredible. To be precise, there are 756 live blackjack games, 278 live roulette options, 223 live baccarat tables, and 24 live poker games listed.
However, a closer look reveals some of these aren’t live at all – for example, there are provably fair games from Spribe and first-person games from Evolution. Even so, the choice of live dealer games from providers like Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, Winfinity, Vivo, Playtech, and Iconic21 is excellent.
Live game show fans will also be happy here, with Vave offering no fewer than 58 to choose from. Options include hit like Sweet Bonanza Candyland and Mega Wheel from Pragmatic, Lighting Storm and Crazy Time from Evolution, and Top Card and Cabaret Roulette from Winfinity.

Unfortunately, there’s no dedicated section for RNG (random number generator) based table games. However, using the search feature does deliver an extensive choice of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, craps, and video poker. For example, there’s American Poker and French Roulette from KA Gaming, Premium European Blackjack from Platipus, and video poker from GameArt and TaDa Gaming.

The choice of video bingo at Vave crypto casino is surprisingly good, with dozens of options. Available games include Jungle Fever Reel Bingo from Ready Play Gaming, Bingo Mania from Urgent Games, and ChocoBingo Delights from Reevo. When it comes to keno, a search just pulled up completely unrelated slots.

In addition to provably fair games from third-party providers like Spribe and InOut, Vave also offers a very limited choice of original in-house games. Specifically, there’s Crash, Plinko, Dice, Mines, and Coin. Hardly the most inspiring line-up, but still better than nothing – and although I assumed they were going to be provably fair, it turns out they aren’t.
For more information about provably fair games, be sure to check out the CoinBets Introduction to Provably Fair Gaming.

For today’s CoinBets Challenge, I decided to pit the casino’s in-house Plinko game against, well, the casino’s in-house Plinko game. I’d play 50 x $1 bets with 8 lines set to normal risk, and 50 x $1 bets with 8 lines set to high risk. Which one would deliver the best RTP?
Before I reveal the results, a word about the game itself. It’s a fairly standard Plinko set-up, with all the usual controls and typical graphics. However, when I chose the game, I assumed it would be provably fair – most in-house casino games like this are. But I couldn’t see any way to access seed information, so I guess it’s a plain old RNG-based title. Still, it’s playable enough.

Right, now for the results. Drumroll…
First up, the 50 bucks bet on the normal risk setting: I won back a respectable 49.90, giving a real RTP of 99.8% – which is in line with the theoretical 98.91% – 99.16%.
And the high-risk bets? Well, after betting the 50 dollars, I’d only managed to claw back a disappointing 26 bucks – an RTP of just 52%.
So, there you go, in this case, neither strategy resulted in a profit, but the safer one was far less painful!

Complementing the Vave casino is a sportsbook offering standard and live betting on a wide range of sports. All the mainstream sports are available, including football, basketball, tennis, snooker, and cricket. Additionally, there’s a dedicated racing section for horses, harness, and greyhounds.
Esports betting is also offered on disciplines including FIFA, CS2, Valorant, and League of Legends.

In addition to the Vave welcome bonus package, a range of other promotions are available for existing casino players. At the time of writing this Vave review they included:
Thursday Reload – 100% up to 2,500 USDT.
Wheel of Fortune – Deposit at least 100 USDT to get a silver spin, or 500 USDT to get a gold spin on the Vave Fortune Wheel.
Slot Race – A typical slot wagering race tournament, with a daily prize pool of 500 free spins and a monthly prize pool of 15,000 USDT and 15,000 free spins.

Vave crypto casino runs a typical multi-tier loyalty program/VIP club. You’ll be automatically enrolled in it on registration, and you’ll level up based on points (VP).
Points are earned at a rate of 1 for every 30 USDT or equivalent of real money wagered on slots – table games and live dealer games don’t contribute. You can also exchange points for real money at a rate of 100 VP for 1 USDT (or equivalent in other cryptocurrency). Note that all rewards are subject to a 10x wagering requirement.

Vave casino provides 24/7 player support via live chat. Alternatively, you can email support@vave [dot] com or send complaints to complaints@vave [dot] com.
There’s also a basic FAQ section, and a Vave blog with various articles about casino and sports betting – though this is mainly for SEO purposes rather than offering any real value to players. Plus, you can connect with and follow Vave on social media platforms including X (Twitter), Telegram, Discord, and Instagram.

In terms of visual design, Vave looks very similar to most other crypto casinos, although some may find the grey and teal color scheme rather sleep-inducing. While navigation is intuitive, I did find the site incredibly frustrating. For example, logging in was a pain – the login window contained a “Join Now” button rather than a “Sign In” option – and it took many attempts to successfully log in. Plus, I found many links were pointing at the wrong pages, or just didn’t work.
All in all, the entire platform felt amateurish.
Beyond those issues, Vave also falls down when it comes to responsible gambling. And I mean, reeeally falls down. The Responsible Gambling page contains just a couple of paragraphs and doesn’t even have any links to third-party problem gambling organizations. Needless to say, there aren’t any self-help safer gambling tools, like deposit, loss, or time limits.

In addition to English, Vave crypto casino is also available in the following international languages:
Languages
Although there’s no dedicated Vave mobile app for iOS, Android or Windows devices, the web-based casino has been optimized for mobile browsers. So you can still enjoy this casino on your smartphone or tablet without any problems.
At the time of writing this Vave review, the platform’s Global Brand Ambassador was British professional snooker player Judd Trump.

So, that’s what Vave offers in terms of products and promos, but what are people saying about it? Well, as always, it’s incredibly difficult to get a clear picture because of all the fake reviews, affiliate spam, and reputation laundering. But, if you’re curious, here’s how Vave was ranking on some popular casino review platforms:
Platform | Overall Rating | Notes |
---|---|---|
![]() | 4.0 Great | (based on 253 reviews) |
![]() | Overall: 6.7/10 | Safety Index: Above average |
![]() | CasinoRank: 6.2 | Player Rating: 8.8 (39 reviews) |
![]() | Overall: 4.51/5 |

While the reviews for Vave look pretty good at first glance, many of the positive reviews on Trustpilot are highly suspicious, and the other platforms are all affiliate marketing sites. So, can you really trust any of those? Probably not.
In fact, while we’re on the subject, you might want to check out The Truth About Why Crypto Casino Reviews are Broken (and Everyone’s Cashing in on Your Losses).

Vave
Vave offers many games, but 150x wagering, no license, constant glitches, and zero responsible gambling tools destroy trust.

Verdict
Okay, so after testing Vave.com crypto casino for a day, what’s my overall takeaway?
Let’s start with the positives. This casino has lots of games from lots of providers. That’s always a good thing at a crypto casino.
Okay, I lied. I should have said “let’s start with the positive” – because I really can’t think of any more.
Now, the negatives. Ouch, where do I begin?
Let’s start with the welcome bonus. There’s no point analyzing it in detail because the 150x wagering alone is reason to run a mile. Then there’s the lack of any kind of online gaming license. Indeed, the fact that Vave was originally based and licensed in Curacao and relocated to Costa Rica speaks volumes – clearly they weren’t willing (or able) to operate to the improved standards of that jurisdiction after the regulatory changes introduced in 2024/25. The fact they haven’t even bothered with an Anjouan license is probably academic – I mean, an Anjouan license is basically worthless anyway.
And if those issues weren’t bad enough, the Vave.com website itself gave me nothing but problems. Logging in was a nightmare; there were lots of glitches, and overall, everything felt shabby. Then, topping it all off is the complete disregard for responsible gambling… and I mean complete disregard. While very few crypto casinos provide adequate safer gambling resources, Vave takes apathy to a new level.
Shockingly bad. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.
Basically, with so many other, better crypto casinos to choose from, I can’t see any point in risking your crypto at Vave. However, if you really feel compelled, I’d recommend you keep your balance low and make frequent withdrawals.
But that’s just what I think. How about you? Have you played at Vave recently? If so, why not write your own CoinBets review and share your thoughts with the player community?
Thanks for reading, and until next time, stay safe and have fun!
