500.Casino Review

In business since 2016, 500 Casino is a Curaçao-licensed platform claiming to offer the “best” VIP club, and is particularly geared to Counter-Strike fans – offering a marketplace and loot boxes. The platform offers KYC-free sign-up, and the casino game portfolio is respectable, with thousands of titles from 40+ providers, alongside a handful of provably fair originals.

However, if you’re looking for a simple, transparent welcome bonus, keep moving. While the 500 Casino package is theoretically valuable, it’s overly complicated and opaque – just like the loyalty and VIP program. So, is it still worth trying 500 Casino? Find out by reading the full, totally honest review.

From Counter-Strike skins to a full-blown crypto casino — but is it any good?

500 Casino has been operating since 2016 and now offers thousands of casino games, including slots, table, and live dealer options, along with sports and esports betting. This crypto casino really pushes its VIP club, which it claims is the “best”, and puts quite an emphasis on provably fair gaming. It also boasts a few novel features, such as a Counter-Strike skins marketplace and loot boxes

In this original CoinBets review, I’ll dissect the 500 Casino welcome bonus, check out payment options and customer support, and rate the overall user experience. Plus, I’ll be playing games with real crypto and finding out what others think of this crypto gambling site.

  • Welcome Bonus
    Bonus size, terms, and fairness

License and Security

Casino credentials and player protection

Before we get to the 500 Casino bonuses and games, let’s make sure the site is legit.

image description

500.Casino is owned and operated by Perfect Storm B.V, based in the Dutch Caribbean territory of  Curaçao (company registration no. 150536). The site holds a valid license from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB). The license number is OGL/2024/1354/0882 and was granted on 16/12/2024.

The site connection is secure and the security certificate is valid

Welcome Bonus

Bonus size, terms, and fairness

Okay, so it didn’t take long to hit some friction at 500.Casino. Unless you open an account and sign in, the only way to access info about the 500 Casino welcome offer is from the slider. If you select “Promotions” from the menu, there’s nothing about a sign-up offer. Okay, it’s not the end of the world, but it’s one of those annoying things that suggests the casino operator isn’t paying enough attention.

Anyway, when you do find the information, this is what the 500 Casino welcome bonus looks like:

300% bonus up to $15,000 on your first deposit + 50 free spins

Minimum deposit $25

Bonus added as rakeback that needs to be unlocked at a rate of $1 rakeback boost per $400 wagered

Free spins winnings added to the bonus balance

Bonus balance subject to 40x wagering before becoming withdrawable

Right, let’s unpack this undeniably convoluted offer. On the surface, a 300% bonus seems generous, but this welcome offer is anything but. The key thing to take note of is the rakeback unlocking.

Brace yourself, this gets complicated.

So, if you deposit $5,000, you’ll theoretically be able to get the full $15,000 worth of rakeback. However, given that it is unlocked at a miserly rate of$1 rakeback per $400 wagered, you’ll need to wager $6,000,000 — yep, that’s $6 million, to take full advantage. Furthermore, you’ll need to make your deposit within 7 days of registering, and from that point, the rakeback boost will remain active for 90 days only.

Okay, so what about the free spins? Well, you get 10 Free Spins each on the following Pragmatic Play slots; Sweet Bonanza, 500 Rush, The Dog House with Multihold, The Hand of Midas, and Kingdom of Atlantis Jackpot Play. The value of the free spins is “directly proportional to the value of your deposit. Bigger deposits receive bigger base spin value.” Right, so that doesn’t tell us much! Also, the free spins need to be claimed within 72 hours of registering and wins from free spins are capped at $1,000 and added to your balance as bonus funds.

Bonus funds are subject to a 40x wagering requirement before they can be withdrawn. Wagering is subject to weighting, which in itself is not unusual, but the way it works here at 500.casino is questionable.

Instead of the typical “slots contribute 100%, live casino contributes 20%, etc.” the “wager requirement decreases based on the RTP of the games you’re playing.” They elaborate further, saying playing a game with a 95% RTP or lower will contribute at a 1:1 ratio, while playing a game with a 99.5% RTP will decrease it at a 1:10 ratio. Additionally, bonus bets are limited to $10, and you’ve only got 14 days to complete wagering.

I don’t even know where to start with this one. I get the distinct impression that 500 Casino has made this offer deliberately convoluted to confuse people.

Opening a New Account

Sign-up speed and steps

Thankfully, signing up with 500 Casino is simple enough and there are several options:

Click the “Register” button at the top right of the screen. Provide a valid email and set a strong password. Enter a referral code if you have one, and click “Continue”. Then enter your name, address, city, country, and date of birth. Finally, confirm you are aged 18+ and have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions, then click “Create Account.”

  • Sign in using your Google account.
  • Log in via your Steam account.
  • Link your Metamask wallet.

Sign in via the Phantom browser extension.

Prohibited Jurisdictions

No KYC is required to sign-up with 500 Casino, but you will be required to verify your identity before withdrawing. This is now mandatory for all Curacao-licensed online casinos. Hence, there’s little point using a VPN to play from prohibited jurisdictions like the US, UK, Germany, France, or the Netherlands.

Paste in your receiving wallet address or select from your address book. The estimated transaction fee will be displayed, and if you are happy, click “Withdraw.”

CoinBets.com Tip: Always double-check crypto wallet addresses after pasting them – you don’t want to fall victim to ‘PasteJacking’. This is when hackers exploit the copy-paste function to change wallet addresses to steal funds.

Game Selection

Frustratingly, 500 Casino doesn’t divulge the total number of games it offers, but it’s safe to say there are thousands, from more than 50 providers. In addition to the basic search function, there are several handy filters to make finding games easier. Specific filters include provider, game type, jackpot, bonus buy battles, Drops & Wins, and more. However, unlike some casinos, like Bitcasino, you can’t filter by RTP.

  • Slots
    Game variety
  • Crash & Instant Wins
    Fast gameplay
  • Live Casino
    Dealer quality
  • Table Games and Video Poker
    Classic tables
  • Bingo
    Casual games

Slots

Game variety

As to be expected, the vast majority of games at this crypto casino are slots. At the time of writing this 500 Casino review, the most popular included Sugar Rush 1000 from Pragmatic Play, Outsourced from Nolimit City, Fist of Destruction from Hacksaw Gaming, and Emberfall from Slot Mill Games. Of course, there are hundreds of older slots available too, including classics like Divine Fortune from NetEnt, and Book of Ra Deluxe from Novomatic

For Megaways fans, there are just under 40 slots to choose from – not as many as the best crypto casinos, but still enough for most casual players (although there is no filter, so you’ll have to use search). If you select the “Jackpot Games” category, you’ll likely be underwhelmed, with just over 40 games available, mostly from Pragmatic and Relax Gaming. However, using the search function reveals there are other titles available, including a handful of progressive jackpot slots from the hugely popular Mega Moolah series by Games Global (still listed as Microgaming here).

CoinBets Experience

Klowns (Hacksaw Gaming)

I couldn’t see any exclusive 500 Casino slots, so I chose Klowns because it was one of the newest releases. And, because clowns are in it, and I’m terrified of clowns, which naturally draws me to them for some reason.

Anyway, the first thing that struck me was the animated clown background graphics, which are pretty slick and most definitely creepy! Apparently, their names are Lester and Jester – but they are clearly inspired by Pennywise from Stephen King’s classic horror novel and movie It.

Hacksaw has rated the volatility of this slot as medium, and it has a standard RTP of 96.26%, so I wasn’t expecting anything too dramatic.

Well, I was spot on. The 6-reels are quite busy with their cute/disturbing balloon symbols – with 8 matching symbols, anywhere on the reels, forming a winning combo. Wins are then popped in a sort of tumbling feature – allowing for plenty of successive wins, although they are mostly small.

Special features in this slot consist of the Adding Klown Multiplier symbols, which have values of between x2 and x500, and the Multiplying Klown Multipliers which are worth from x2 to x20. Adding and Multiplying Multipliers, are added to or multiplier the current multiplier in the Total Win bar, surprisingly enough.

Then, there are the Needle Boxes. When they land, they will clear the grid of symbols that correspond to their type (each Needle Box is associated with certain symbols), and award multipliers of x0.1 or x0.5 for each symbol removed.

There are also two different bonus rounds. The first is Lester’s Cash Carousel, triggered by landing 3 FS Scatters. You’ll get 10 free spins and the rounds are similar to the base game, except with a higher chance of getting bigger multipliers.

Additionally, all your active multipliers will be added to a Bounty Balloon off-grid, until it’s burst by an Epic Needle Box, at which point the total multiplier amount will be added to the Total Win Bar multiplier, and you’ll start collecting multipliers from scratch again. The second type of bonus round is Jester’s Jackpot, which is triggered by landing 4 Scatters. This is the same as Lester’s bonus round, except the Bounty Balloon keeps the previous multiplier intact when it respawns.

Unfortunately, although I landed quite a few wins, they were all small and I didn’t manage to trigger any bonus rounds. To be honest, I get the feeling the bonus rounds are going to be few and far between, so you might want to consider the Bonus Buy options. They significantly improve your chances of a big win, but they don’t come cheap. There are four choices: BonusHunt Feature Spins (3x bet); Laughing Loot FeatureSpins (50x bet), Lester’s Cash Carousel (70x bet), and Jester’s Jackpot (200x bet). Are they worth it? Well, the maximum win for Klowns is 10,000x your bet, so maybe.

As for me, I’ve had enough of the circus for a while.

Crash & Instant Wins

Fast gameplay

Pretty much the only crash game available at 500 Casino is the site’s in-house provably fair game, which is available from the main navigation.

There are around 25 scratch cards on offer though – mostly the usual fare from Hacksaw, like Gold Scratch and Chaos Crew, though there are 3 from Microgaming and a single option from Blueprint Gaming.

Live Casino

Dealer quality

With just over 50 live casino games, the “Live Games” section at 500.Casino is underwhelming. Unsurprisingly, the various live blackjack, roulette, baccarat and other table games are provided by Evolution and Pragmatic Play.

You’ll also find a sprinkling of live game shows, including Crazy Time and Lighting Storm from Evolution, and Treasure Island and Sweet Bonanza Candyland from Pragmatic Play.

image description

CoinBets Experience

Snakes & Ladders Live (Pragmatic Play)

As one of the few live games from Pragmatic Play I still hadn’t tried, I thought I’d give Snakes & Ladders Live a go.

Interestingly, when this game first went live in May 2023, it featured a board and dice, but in July 2024 Pragmatic Play changed it, moving the gameplay to a segmented wheel – giving it the same feel as most live game shows. Although the provider insists it’s improved the game, I can’t say because I never played it in the original format. However, it now feels nothing like the classic Snakes & Ladders game.

Still, the host was quite fetching and the pace was quick. The standard numbered segments can receive multipliers of between x2 and x20, while the bonus segments can be subject to multipliers of between x2 and x10. The bonus games consist of two versions of the Snakes Totem (1 or 2 lives) and 2 versions of the Board (3 or 5 rolls).

Personally, I managed to trigger the Totem bonus game, which gave me a small boost from some low extra multipliers, but I didn’t get to try the board game bonus round. According to Pragmatic Play, the RTP is 96.46% – 96.66%, and the maximum win is 20,570x via the Snakes Totem bonus.

Overall, like many live casino game shows, Snakes and Ladders Live is something you can easily drop in and out of when you’ve got a few minutes to spare.

Table Games and Video Poker

Classic tables

In keeping with 500 Casino’s shonky navigation and categories, selecting “Table Games” from the “Game Type” pull-down menu delivered just one game – Sic Bo from Pragmatic Play. There are a handful of RNG-based roulette, blackjack, and baccarat games mixed in with the live offerings in their respective categories, but not much really.

Unsurprisingly, selecting the “poker” category delivers just 5 poker games – and they are all live offerings from Evolution. But, searching “poker” also turns up several video poker options from Play’n GO. Basically, the entire categorization and search functions here at 500 Casino are hopeless.

Bingo

Casual games

A small selection of video bingo is available at 500 Casino, including Sweet Alchemy Bingo and Viking Runecraft Bingo from Play’n GO, and Immortal Romance Video Bingo, and Break da Bank Again Video Bingo from Microgaming. However, searching yielded no keno at all.

Provably Fair Games

Testing transparency and randomness

To find the 500.Casino original provably fair games, you need to look under “Classics” – which doesn’t seem very intuitive. Here, you’ll find Wheel of Fortune, Roulette, Crash, Duels, Plinko, Dice, Towers, Mines, Keno, and Limbo.

While the 500 Casino original games are okay, the provably fair verification system is clunky and not very user-friendly.

If you’d like to find out more about provably fair gaming, check out CoinBets’ Introduction to Provably Fair Gaming.

CoinBets.com Experience

Our real-money gameplay results

Roulette (500 Casino)

A provably fair take on a classic casino game, Roulette is very simple. Place your bets, the “wheel” spins and you win accordingly.

The only thing to note here is the “wheel” is instead displayed as a horizontal band featuring the “pockets”. In all honesty, playing this is like watching paint dry. I kind of feel like the physical roulette wheel (or at least a lifelike rendering of it) is absolutely fundamental to adding drama and excitement to the game. Remove it, and it just feels dead.

Mines (500 Casino)

On the other hand, Mines is well-suited to a simple provably fair format – with the level of player interaction being much higher. Indeed, it’s easy to find yourself agonizing over which grid square to pick next!

The game works exactly like virtually every other version of mines. You select how many mines you’d like to hide on the grid, place a bet, and venture forth. With every gem you safely reveal, your winnings go up. Of course, you can cash out whenever you want – but you know you want to try just one more square…

Sportsbook

In addition to games, the 500 Casino sportsbook offers an extensive range of pre-match and live betting on sports including football, tennis, basketball, ice hockey, and horse racing.

Esports betting is also offered on popular disciplines including Counter-Strike, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, and FIFA.

Cases and Skins

500 Casino also has a marketplace for Counter-Strike items. To buy, sell, and trade skins and in-game items, you need to connect your Steam account. You can also gamble by buying “Cases” – which are loot boxes for CS2, containing various items – and even participate in “Case Battles.”

Promotional Offers

Current bonuses and real value

After the farce which is the 500 Casino sign-up bonus, can this crypto casino redeem itself with a selection of good regular promos? Let’s find out. Here’s what was on offer at the time of writing:

Slot Multiplier Races – Accumulate as many 100x multipliers as possible on the specified slot. The top 30 players with the highest score share a $5,000 prize pool. Two of these promos were on offer at the time, one for Pirate Bonanza from Backseat Gaming, and one for Donut Division from Hacksaw Gaming. There was also a similar promo for Peter & Sons slots Barbarossa and Barbarossa Revenge but with a larger $10,000 prize pool and slightly different qualification criteria.

Drops & Wins – 500 Casino participates in Pragmatic Play’s famous Drops & Wins promo, with its monthly multi-million euro prize pool

Royales Tournaments – “Top players” can also compete for cash prizes and XP points by competing in special tournaments, though very little detail is provided about these.

Loyalty Program & VIP Club

Rewards, rakeback, and VIP perks

So, 500 Casino promotes its loyalty/VIP program as the “best.” But, is it? Well, the information provided is very vague, with no specific percentages or values provided for most rewards, but here’s an overview of the basic structure.

Thankfully, 500 Casino has included a handy XP calculator, so it’s easy to figure out how much you’ll need to wager to reach the various levels. But, brace yourself – at the time of writing, to reach even the first rung of the VIP club (Level 500), over $54,000 needed to be wagered.

Although 500 Casino says both the Lambo and gold bar have been “claimed”, I’m going to take that with a pinch of salt. Indeed, to achieve level 1300 and win the Lamborghini, you’ll need to wager… drum roll please… over $76.3 million! And, if you can afford that, you’ve probably already got several Lamborghinis. To illustrate the sheer level of absurdity displayed by 500 Casino here, to reach the Supernova level, you’ll need to wager well over $1 billion. I can only assume 500 Casino has included this for comedy value.

Player Support

Quality and Speed

500 Casino offers 24/7 customer support via live chat – with typical response times being just a few minutes. Alternatively, you can email support [at] 500 [dot] casino.

You can also connect with 500 Casino via social media platforms including X (Twitter), Discord, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, YouTube, and VK

User Experience & Website Design

Navigation, layout, and performance

Aesthetically, 500 Casino looks reasonable, if a bit cluttered thanks to the annoying ticker displaying the latest winners. However, as I’ve already mentioned, the game categories and filters are poorly planned and badly executed, and navigation is clunky. Generally, things feel slapdash – not something I expected from such a well-established online casino.

On the plus side, there are some convenient features, like the Account Statistics dashboard and Fairness page. The latter makes it possible to find the information needed to validate past rounds on the various provably fair games. However, the verification system itself is still rather user-unfriendly.

Another interesting feature is the Multi-View option, allowing you to play two games simultaneously – although my gut feeling is this may encourage irresponsible gambling.

And talking of responsible gambling, while 500 Casino does make it easy to self-exclude, there are no other safer gambling tools available. Ideally, I’d like to see the ability to set deposit, wager, loss, and time limits.

Mobile apps

Gameplay and usability on mobile

Although there is no dedicated 500 Casino mobile app for Android or iOS devices. However, the site is optimized to run on mobile browsers, so you can still enjoy 500 Casino on your smartphone or tablet.

Other Interesting Facts

Over the past few years, 500 Casino has demonstrated a commitment to esports. In late 2023, the crypto casino announced its own official CS team, playing as “500.” Building on this, in mid-2024, 500 Casino announced a partnership with former pro Counter-Strike player Emil “HeatoN” Christensen.

In mid-2025, the brand also became the official sponsor of combat sport Power Slap.

Verdict

Initially, 500 Casino looks like a well-equipped crypto casino and sportsbook, with extra appeal for Counter-Strike fans. And, to an extent it is. It offers a good choice of casino games from popular providers, and boasts some original in-house provably fair games

However, this platform has some major issues. First up, the welcome bonus is truly awful. It has obviously been designed to be confusing with the intention of catching players out.

But even putting the welcome offer aside, 500 Casino is a mess. Browsing games is clunky and frustrating, the loyalty program is absurd, and the casino seems to have no regard for responsible gambling.

All things considered, unless you’re really into skin gambling and lootboxes, there’s little reason to choose 500 Casino — and even then, there are better platforms out there.

But, that’s just what I think. Have you gambled at 500 Casino? If so, why not write a CoinBets review — your input will help other players make informed decisions.

Thanks for reading, and until next time, good luck!

Crypto Casinos: The Truth Behind the Hype

Most crypto casino review platforms and guides are written by affiliates who earn up to 50% of your losses at the casino. They’re financially incentivized to push the casinos that pay them the most, not the ones that treat players fairly. That’s why you’ll rarely see them warn you about slow withdrawals, unfair terms, or dodgy licenses.

CoinBets is different. We don’t take casino money. We deposit and play with our own funds, then report exactly what we find, the good, the bad, and the scams.

Crypto casinos can be fun and convenient, but they’re not all created equal. Licensing quality, withdrawal speed, bonus terms, and game fairness vary wildly from site to site. Some operate under weak offshore regulators with zero player protection. Others bury restrictive terms that can void your winnings. And in the worst cases? Rigged games, frozen accounts, and unpaid withdrawals.

Our goal is simple: help you spot the red flags before you deposit. That’s why our database lists licensing details, RTP info, payment terms, and verified user reviews so you can make an informed decision, not a hopeful gamble.

But we can’t do it alone. We need players like you to help arm CoinBets with a vault of verified reviews. The more real, documented player experiences we have, the easier it is to hold dodgy crypto casinos accountable and warn others before they lose money. If you’ve played, share your story — together we can make the crypto gambling space safer for everyone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • What makes a crypto casino trustworthy?

A legitimate license from a regulator with actual enforcement power, transparent terms, fast withdrawals, provably fair games, and a clean track record of paying players without drama.

  • Are unlicensed crypto casinos always scams?

Not always, but you’re gambling with zero safety net. If they refuse to pay you, there’s no regulator to step in. That’s why we flag licensing in every review.

  • What’s “provably fair” and why does it matter?

It’s a cryptographic system that lets you verify game results weren’t manipulated. In plain English: you can prove you weren’t cheated. Without it, you’re trusting the casino’s word.

  • Why are bonuses often a bad deal?

Because the fine print can make them nearly impossible to cash out, with wagering requirements, game restrictions, and withdrawal caps. Our database lists these terms so you can spot the traps.

  • How fast should a crypto casino pay out?

Top-tier sites pay within minutes to a few hours. If withdrawals drag on for days without clear reasons, that’s a red flag.

  • How does CoinBets stay unbiased?

We don’t take affiliate deals or casino funding. We play and test with our own crypto, track every interaction, and publish the results – even when casinos hate it.
