Its Got Attitude, Its Got Games – But Does it Have What it Takes?
Launched in 2024 as CasinoPunkz.io, by early 2026 this casino had rebranded as Punkz.com. It’s got a distinctive retro digital-inspired theme and bills itself as being KYC-free and VPN-friendly. In terms of product, it offers slots, arcade, table, and live dealer games here, plus sports and esports betting.
But as cool as it looks, the casino’s credentials could be cause for concern, and the bonuses might not be as generous as they first seem. So, in this original CoinBets review, I’ll be opening an account, wagering real crypto, and digging deep into the small print.
Is Punkz really a degen gambling paradise, or just another trap for the unwary? Let’s find out.
-
Casino credentials and player protection
-
Bonus size, terms, and fairness
-
Sign-up speed and steps
Before we get to the good stuff, let’s check out who’s running the show at CasinoPunkz casino.
Punkz is operated by Star Bright Media SRL, which is registered in Costa Rica (company no.3-102-880000), and is licensed by the Anjouan Gaming Board (license no. ALSI-202408063-FB).
The site connection is secure and the security certificate is valid

At the time of writing this Punkz review, the casino offered a 100% deposit match welcome bonus, potentially worth up to US$20,000. Sounds generous, right? Well, let’s take a look under the hood:
Paid in 10 increments of 10% each.
Each increment is unlocked after wagering 8x your deposit (i.e., the full bonus will be unlocked after wagering 80x your deposit).
Minimum deposit is $20.
Wagering must be completed within 3 days.
To withdraw any winnings, the full bonus (all 10 increments) must be unlocked.
Max bet while using bonus funds is $10.
Game weighting applies to wagering. Only slots contribute 100%, while live casino and table games contribute 10%. High RTP slots (97%+) and provably fair games contribute 0%.
Okay, so the important thing to take away here is that, despite the bonus being released in increments, you’ve got to complete wagering for all 10 to make any wins withdrawable. So, bottom line, the wagering requirement is 80x.
For example, let’s say you deposit $100. Your first 10% increment ($10) won’t be released until you’ve wagered $800. And then you’ve got to do another 9 increments – so in total, you’ll need to wager $8,000 to benefit from the $100 bonus. And, you’ve got to complete it within just 3 days.
On the plus side, at least all the terms and conditions are clearly written and readily available – but there’s no way of dressing this up, the wagering requirements are awful.

Signing up with Punkz is quick and easy, with several options available:

KYC & Prohibited Jurisdictions
Despite bestowing its “KYC-free” and “VPN-friendly” virtues on players, the CasinoPunkz terms and conditions actually prohibit players from most jurisdictions. First up, there’s a list of specifically prohibited countries and territories, which includes the United States, and then it excludes any countries subject to: United States sanctions or watch lists, Russian Federation sanctions or watch lists, European Union sanctions or watch lists, or any other global sanctions or watch lists.
Given the state of the world right now – with the West massively sanctioning Russia and its allies, and Russia and its allies sanctioning the West – that’s pretty much every country covered!

The fact that this casino is actively encouraging people to use VPNs to access it from blocked countries, but then has this clause in the user agreement, makes me suspect it’s a deliberate trap.
I very strongly suspect they won’t care where you are from until it comes to trying to make a big withdrawal. Then, bam. Account closed and balance confiscated. I’m not saying they do do this – but their T&Cs very much put them in a position to do it.

Payments
Punkz supports a reasonable range of popular cryptocurrencies for payments.
Crypto Deposits & Withdrawals:
To make a crypto deposit, tap the purple “Deposit” button and select your crypto. Choose a network (if applicable), and you’ll be presented with your unique payment address in both text and QR code formats.

To withdraw crypto, open your wallet (click “Deposit” again), then select “Withdraw.” Choose the appropriate crypto and network, and then paste the wallet address you want to transfer funds to. Enter how much you want to withdraw – the minimum amount and transaction fee will be stated. If everything looks good, hit “Request Withdrawal.”

CoinBets.com Tip: Always double-check crypto wallet addresses after pasting them – you don’t want to fall victim to ‘PasteJacking’. This is when hackers exploit the copy-paste function to change wallet addresses to steal funds.
Punkz also supports fiat options via gift cards. Options include PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, Paysafecard, Google Pay, and Trustly.
Buying Crypto
Punkz also gives you the option of buying crypto via third-party platforms using PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, Paysafe Card, Google Pay, and Trustly.
Game Selection
At the time of writing this Casinopunkz review, the platform offered over 5,000 casino games of all types, from 50+ providers. Though the lobbies are neatly laid out, categories are very limited, which makes browsing quite clunky.

-
Game variety
-
Fast gameplay
-
Dealer quality
-
Classic tables
-
Casual games
As you’d expect, slots make up the bulk of the Punkz casino game catalog. At the time of writing, the most popular slots included Gates of Olympus Super Scatter from Pragmatic Play, Duck Hunters from Nolimit City, Reactoonz 2 from Play’n GO, andWanted Dead or a Wild from Hacksaw Gaming.
Although there’s a distinct lack of filters, thankfully, there is a Megaways slots category. So it’s easy to find titles like Gold Megaways from Big Time Gaming,Legend of Cleopatra Megaways from Playson, and Judgement Day Megaways from Red Tiger. However, finding games with other specific features isn’t so easy (although, bizarrely, there are filters for Bonus Buy and Hold and Win games hiding in the site footer).

Note: The following gameplay was when the platform was still called CasinoPunkz.
Swoll (Shady Lady)

The first slot I hit at CasinoPunkz was Swoll from Shady Lady – a provider becoming notorious for its rather icky themes (playing Devil’s Finger scarred me). And Swoll is definitely more than a little gross – the opening titles alone nearly brought my lunch back up.
But, heck, this bodybuilding-themed slot offers a max win of 20,000x your stake and is packing wilds with multipliers, nudge mechanics, free spins, and a bonus buy option. Plus, lots and lots of steroids, steaks, and energy drinks. Add to this mix some good old high volatility, and an intense soundtrack, and it’s quite the, erm, “unique” slot game.
However, despite a theoretical RTP of 96.2%, after 50 spins, I’d only managed to bench an RTP of 49%. Hardly anything I’d want to be sharing on Instagram.
The Greed Machine (Penguin King)

Next, I tried my luck at The Greed Machine from Penguin King. I must admit, I love this retro comic-style visual vibe – it reminds me of a lot of Hacksaw Gaming slots. The action takes place in what looks like an abandoned casino – with derelict one-armed bandits in the background – with the Devil himself. There’s also a period-appropriate soundtrack to add to the atmosphere.
As for features, expect multipliers, a collection mechanism, scatters, wilds, and of course, free spins. The maximum win is a very apt 6666x your bet, and it’s got a medium volatility rating. Now, the theoretical RTP is 92.7%, which is already on the low side. But after 50 spins, I’d managed to bring it even lower, coming in at just 49% (the exact same as Swoll). Coincidence? Hmmm…
Still, I did enjoy this game, and I think I’ll be hanging out with Old Nick again soon.
Reactoonz 2 (Play’n GO)

I splashed my remaining bankroll on an old favorite, Reactoonz 2 from Play’n GO – seriously, I can’t believe this slot was released way back in 2020, mid-apocalypse. Crazy times! Anyway, it still holds up great with its insanely dramatic animations and funny soundtrack. Seriously, I don’t know any other slots that make even the smallest wins seem like such a big deal!
You’ve probably played it before, but in case you’ve been living under a rock, this sequel is similar to the original in terms of characters and theme – a bunch of cartoon aliens subject to all kinds of strange experiments. However, it adds a few extra features to the mix to make the action even more mental. The cascades, mega symbols, multipliers, symbol swaps, and rechargeable energy meters definitely make for a lot of action – even if they often don’t translate to big wins.
In technical terms, Reactoonz 2 has a slightly worse RTP than the original, coming in at 94.2% compared to 96.51%, is rated as highly volatile, and has a maximum win of 5,083x your bet. But after 71 spins, I’d only managed to achieve a disappointing 40.7%.
Ooof, I just couldn’t catch a break at Casinopunkz.
To find crash games and other instant wins at Casino Punkz, you’ll need to tap the “Arcade” category. You’ll then find the games sorted by provider. For example, there’s games like Air Jet, and Astronaut from 100HP, Aviator and Plinko from Spribe, and Speed Crash and Blocks from Hacksaw Gaming.

The Punkz live casino features games from Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Live88, Microgaming Live, Creedroomz, Winfinity, and Animo Live. If you open up the individual provider/game type lobbies, you’ll find hundreds of variants of blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and dice games.

Live game shows get their own category at Punkz – you’ll find all the usual hits like Cash Wheel Carnival, Snakes & Ladders, Crazy Time, Lightning Storm, and Monopoly.
Surprisingly, there is a category dedicated to non-live dealer RNG-based table games here. And, with over 70 games to choose from, it’s pretty good compared to most casinos. You’ll find games like First Person Craps and First Person Blackjack from Evolution, Red Dog from Betsoft, Caribbean Beach Poker and Turbo Poker from Wazdan, and Andar Bahar and Teen Patti from OneTouch.

A search for bingo at Casinopunkz.io serves up around 50 games — a very respectable number. Most are from Caleta Gaming, with titles like Bingo Tornado and Bingo Pirata, but you’ll also find Viking Runecraft Bingo from Play’n GO, Mayan Riches Bingo! from Mascot, and Immortal Romance Video Bingo from Microgaming.
25 keno games are also offered, including Caipirinha Keno and Keno Goal from Caleta Gaming, Book of Keno from Evoplay, and Keno Rush from OneTouch.

-
Testing transparency and randomness
There aren’t any in-house original provably fair games at Punkz, but there are a few from third-party providers. You’ll find them in the previously mentioned “Arcade” section. Options include Keno, Hi-Lo, and Mines from Spribe, and Dice, Chicken Train, and Plinko from 100HP.

At the time of writing this CasinoPunkz review, the platform was a pure casino – no sports or esports betting available.

Current bonuses and real value
-
Rewards, rakeback, and VIP perks
Punkz doesn’t really have much going on in the casino promo department. In fact, besides the welcome bonus and VIP program, there was only a single promotional offer and one tournament:
Sunday Spinz Frenzy – Deposit and play on slots from Thursday to Saturday to get free spins dropped into your account on Sunday.
Big Win Tournament – A weekly slot tournament with a €500 prize pool.

The Punkz VIP program is a relatively simple 6-tier affair, offering rewards like weekly cashback, daily loot boxes, and other bonuses. Your rank is based on XP earned over the preceding 6 weeks. You earn XP for betting real dollars, although the rate isn’t made clear.

Gameplay and usability on mobile
As you’d expect, Punkz offers 24/7 live chat support, and you can also email the help desk directly at support@punkz.com. There’s also a very brief FAQ section/
Beyond that, you can connect with and follow Punkz on X (Twitter) and Telegram.

Okay, so now we get to design, which is probably the biggest selling point of Punkz. Basically, it’s like jumping into the Delorean, going back to 1989, and making a beeline for the nearest arcade. Yep, everything is retro pixels and neon. I love it. Aesthetically, at least.
In terms of functionality, the UX isn’t the best. Categories don’t always make the most sense, with different games available depending on the exact route you took to get there. Plus, as with so many online casinos, Punkz desperately needs more filters — do these operators ever actually try browsing?
Aside from that, things seem to work pretty well here. Sign up and payments are easy, and there’s even a guide to using VPNs – suggesting the best geolocations for users in different regions (though, as pointed out earlier, this raises questions about a conflict with the Terms and Conditions).
One area where Punkz fails miserably is responsible gambling. You can forget safer gambling tools here – heck, there isn’t even the normal Responsible Gambling info page. Literally, nothing.
To make Punkz more accessible, the platform is available in several languages besides English, including:
Languages
Although there is no Punkz app, the web-based platform is optimized to run smoothly on mobile browsers, so it’s still playable on smartphones and tablets.
SBM S.R.L. also owns and operates BetPanda.io – another crypto casino that claims to be KYC-free and VPN-friendly, but actually prohibits players from most countries and has a somewhat dubious reputation.

So, that’s what Punkz offers in terms of product, features, and bonuses, but what kind of reputation does it have? Well, in truth, it’s almost impossible to gauge a casino’s reputation these days thanks to all the reputation laundering, fake reviews, and affiliate marketing garbage (that’s why we felt the need to set up CoinBets). But, out of curiosity, here are some ratings at the time of writing:

So what’s my overall impression of CasinoPunkz? Well, it looks cool, but that’s about it. There are just too many red flags here.
Verdict
So what’s my overall impression of Punkz? Well, it looks cool, but that’s about it. There are just too many red flags here — rebranding and changing names after less than 2 years being one of them.
Also, the operator is based in Costa Rica, which is never a good sign. Companies don’t base themselves there because of the sunshine or even just because it’s a tax haven. It’s attractive to gambling companies because there’s no local licensing required, and they know they are safe from any player-launched legal action.
And, the Anjouan license. It’s worth less than the electricity used to display the “certificate” on your screen. Plus, there’s the apparent contradiction between encouraging players to use VPNs to bypass geo restrictions, but then prohibiting most of the world in the user agreement. The word “trap” springs to mind.
And finally, there’s the overly complicated welcome bonus with horrendous wagering requirements.
Of course, the platform also lacks many features. There are no Web3 or crypto-first features – you can’t connect a crypto wallet or sign up via third parties, and there’s no native token or DeFi features.
Basically, unless you’ve got an unhealthy obsession with pixelization, there’s no good reason to spend your crypto or time at CasinoPunkz.
But that’s just what I think. Have you played at CryptoPunkz? If so, why not write a CoinBets review and share your thoughts with the player community?
Thanks for reading, and until next time, stay safe and have fun!
