So, I got the ball rolling at Winz with one of the branded exclusives – Winz.io Bonanza from BGaming. The theme is a fun take on crypto mining – set in a mine with various cryptocurrencies being dynamited and picked out of rock. Several of the biggest coins are there – BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, TRX.
The game is surprisingly playable – there’s Refilling (winning symbols disappear and are refilled, allowing consecutive wins on each spin), symbols pay anywhere on the screen, and there’s a free spins game with random multipliers of up to 100x.
Unfortunately, despite the overall theoretical RTP being 94.04%, after 50 spins, I’d only managed to dig up an RTP of 66%. But even with my disappointing haul, I’d give Winz.io Bonanza some more time.
Paper Biker (Hacksaw/Bullshark Games)
Ever wonder what happened to Paperboy from the C64 days? Well, he’s all grown up and dresses like a biker, but is still delivering papers – this time in Paper Biker from Hacksaw/Bullshark.
Now, I have to admit, when I first started playing, I wasn’t feeling it. The reels felt a bit empty, and the game felt dated (not in a cool retro way), despite being a new release. But after giving it a few minutes, both the action on the reels and the background animations started to come to life.
Features-wise, we’re dealing with cascading wins, cell multipliers, a collecting function, and wilds. Of course, there’s also a free spins bonus game – but unfortunately, I never triggered it. In terms of specs, we’re talking a respectable 15,000x max win, and a theoretical RTP of 96.24%.
Despite this, my delivery round went pear-shaped, and I only managed to achieve a lame 21.71% RTP. But it was still fun. Not as fun as Paperboy, but fun.
Big Bamboo (Push Gaming)
Totally changing tack, the next slot I played was Big Bamboo from Push Gaming. Again, I didn’t gel with this game at the start – only this time that feeling never changed. I’m not sure exactly what it was, but despite Push billing it as a “zen-like experience”, something about the colors and graphics just made me feel uncomfortable.
Anyway, it’s themed around bamboo, funnily enough. Features-wise, it’s loaded with a Mystery Stack, Respins courtesy of the Golden Bamboo, and a Free Spins bonus game. There’s also an interesting Gamble Scatter symbol – when it lands, other results spin through inside of it. The Free Spins game also gives you the option to gamble for a better result.
In terms of specification, Big Bamboo has official RTPs ranging from 94.13% to 96.13%, is highly volatile, and also offers a Bonus Buy. And the maximum win? A whopping 50,000x your bet. So, all things considered, this slot has a lot going for it.
And now, I realize why I don’t like this slot. It’s the green monkey. Creepy as hell. That, and the fact that I only managed to achieve an RTP of 37.44%.
The only time I’ll be revisiting this slot is in my nightmares.

Dama is definitely getting their act together in response to the new Curaçao gaming regulations. The casino is well-stocked with games and is well-organized, and the no-wagering bonus offers seem very reasonable – and crucially, all the terms and conditions are clear and easy to find. To be honest, it’s a far cry from the operator’s previous approach.
But there are still downsides. For starters, those new Curaçao regulations mean the casino is off limits to millions of players in many major markets. A VPN won’t help if you’ve still got to verify your ID before withdrawing.
And, for crypto-first and Web3 features are thin on the ground. Sure, there are crypto payments, support for Metamask, and some provably fair games, but that’s it. No tokenization, NFTs, or DeFi features.
So if you’re looking for a well-equipped crypto casino and sportsbook, with wager-free bonuses, you’re in an accepted country/region, and you aren’t too bothered about crypto-specific features, Winz.io could be worth a try.
