CoinBets Experience
Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic Play)
As one of Sol Casino’s most popular slots, I figured I’d give Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus a few spins. Unfortunately, after just a couple of rounds, it crashed to a blank screen. The autospin did keep running (I could hear it), and at the end I’d bet 50 USDT and won back just 27.15 – giving a pitiful RTP of 54.3%.
Needless to say, the video was pretty boring, so I binned that.
FRKN Bananas (Hacksaw Gaming)
Being from my favorite provider, Hacksaw, I hoped that FRKN Bananas would bring me better luck – or at least run without crashing. Well, it did run okay, but definitely didn’t bring better luck. In fact, after betting 30 USDT, I’d won a pathetic 8.94 back – a real RTP of just 29.8%. Ouch.
Still, the game itself is fun. It features Hacksaw’s signature retro toon-style graphics (which I love), and some interesting mechanics like Banana Spread and Go Bananas. There’s also two different bonus games – though I didn’t manage to trigger either. And the max win is a very respectable 10,000x your bet.
The theoretical RTP of this slot is 94.29%, and it’s extremely volatile. So, really, it wasn’t the best slot to play with a limited budget. I think coming back to this with a few hundred bucks and plenty of time would probably deliver some interesting results. But, in this specific case, I figured it would be a good idea to move on to a more dependable slot. Something classic…
Book of Dead (Play’n GO)
Something like Book of Dead from Play’n GO! Yes, yes, I know, it’s still a highly volatile slot with a relatively low theoretical RTP of 94.25% – but I’ve played it a lot since it was released way back in 2016. And, for me at least, it’s delivered plenty of good wins.
Unfortunately, today, it bucked that trend. Yep, after betting 25 USDT, I’d only won back 17.50 – giving a real RTP of just 70%. But again, thanks to my disastrous start with Gates of Olympus, my bankroll just wasn’t enough to give this slot the time needed.
Oh well, as every slot player knows, some days just aren’t lucky. There’s always tomorrow.

Praise the Lord! Sol Casino actually has a separate category for Instant Games. Live casino providers include Amusnet, Evolution, Playtech, Pragmatic Play Live, Winfinity, Skywind, ICONIC21, and Luckystreak – giving a good variety of games and styles.
At the time of writing this Sol Casino review, the most popular live games included Crazy Time and Lightning Roulette from Evolution, Sweet Bonanza Candyland and Speed Roulette from Pragmatic Live, and Adventures Beyond Wonderland from Playtech.
Table Games and Video Poker
Yep, you’ve guessed it, Sol Casino has made life nice and easy by providing a dedicated category for RNG (random number generator) based table games. On the downside, there only appears to be roulette and video poker – no blackjack, baccarat or craps. But, on the plus side, there are 40 video roulette and 35 video poker games to choose from. Pretty good compared to most crypto casinos.
Bingo
Sol Casino has an exceptionally good selection of video bingo – there’s no category or filter, but searching brings up over 200 games. Specific titles include Don Bingote from Neko Games, Bingo Star from Galaxys, and Bingo Blitzer from Slot Factory. The choice of keno is just as impressive, with more than 70 games, including Keno Party from Mascot, Keno Express from Galaxys, and Magic Keno from Turbo Games.
Provably Fair Games
While Sol Casino doesn’t offer any original in-house provably fair games – there are plenty from third-party providers like Spribe and Turbogames. You’ll find them in the “Instant Games” section. Interestingly, the line-up also includes InOut titles like Chicken Road and SugarDaddy – games that some crypto casinos try to pass off as ‘in-house originals’ (yes, CryptoLeo, I’m looking at you).

CoinBets Challenge: When You Wheely Need to Win
After my disastrous slot sessions, I really needed to boost my balance. So, I decided to do a CoinBets Challenge on the provably fair Wheel game from InOut. The challenge was simple: my balance was down to a lowly 49.28 USDT, so I aimed to get it back above $100.
I placed 50 USDT worth of bets – starting off at $1 per bet, but increasing it to $2 per bet after the first dozen spins. Mostly, I bet on red (3x multiplier), but I did wager on blue (5x multiplier) a few times, and even green (50x) towards the end.
So, did I manage to drag my balance back up past the hundred bucks mark?
Nope.
But it wasn’t a complete failure. I did manage to win 59 USDT back, giving a small $9 profit, and making a real RTP of 118%. Not amazing, but certainly better than my experience with the slots here.

Sol Casino also provides useful responsible gambling tools, making it easy to set deposit limits, loss limits, wager limits, reality checks, session limits, cooling off periods, or even self-exclude entirely. While this should be standard at every crypto casino, it’s actually very rare, so well done to Sol Casino for this.
However, during testing, a couple of games crashed, and the site was laggy at times – raising concerns about the reliability of the platform. Sol Casino also lacks a few useful features found at most other crypto casinos. For example, you can’t buy crypto via MoonPay or Changelly, and you can’t exchange cryptos via a DEX widget.

A search of the App Store failed to find a Sol Casino app, so I guess that’s no longer available. Verdict
So, all things considered, what’s my take on Sol Casino?
It’s got a huge games catalog that features titles from all the most popular providers as well as quite a few smaller studios. And the catalog is well-organized with plenty of filters, making browsing very easy. The range of instant games, including crash and provably fair titles, is also impressive. However, there are a few holes in the line-up – for example, the lack of baccarat, no in-house originals, and only a small number of tournaments and promotions.
Although Sol Casino is relatively transparent with its bonus terms, when it comes to signing up, it feels a little underhanded. Sure, you can open an account without handing over personal details – but you can’t play for real money until you’ve divulged them. Then there’s the payments. On the one hand, this casino supports both crypto and fiat payments, but on the other, the range of cryptos is limited.
In a nutshell, Sol Casino is very much a regular online casino that happens to accept crypto rather than a crypto-first platform. There’s no tokenization, no NFTs – nothing really crypto-specific about it. And, of course, like all Curaçao-licensed casinos, there’s a long list of prohibited countries. So, if you’re from an accepted country and looking for a hybrid crypto-fiat casino offering loads of slots, then Sol Casino may be worth a try. But if you’re after a Web3 crypto-first casino, there are better options.
