Launched in 2025 by the founders of FanDuel, BetHog blends American sports betting DNA with a crypto casino twist. It offers slots, table games, live casino, and 11 provably fair originals, plus a modest sportsbook and a slick toon-hog aesthetic.

But it’s not all oinks and roses: the casino runs on an Anjouan license, filters are a mess, and that “100% up to $5,000” bonus? It’s actually 60x wagering once you read the fine print. So, is BetHog a promising newcomer, or just another pig in lipstick? Read the full CoinBets review to find out.

Famous Founders but Confused Terms – BetHog Bounds into Crypto Gambling

Launched in late 2024, Bethog.com is a crypto casino from the creators of US sports and fantasy sports betting giant FanDuel. It offers thousands of slots, table, and live casino games, along with a selection of provably fair originals. In keeping with its FanDuel heritage, it also boasts a sportsbook.

In this original CoinBets review of BetHog, I’ll be signing up, wagering real crypto, examining the welcome bonus and VIP rewards, and checking out crypto payment options. So, is BetHog the next big player in the crypto gambling space, or just another offshore casino telling porkies? Let’s find out.

  • License and Security
    Casino credentials and player protection
  • Welcome Bonus
    Bonus size, terms, and fairness

License and Security

Casino credentials and player protection
image description

BetHog.com is owned and operated by Bethog Operations Ltd., based in Belize. It operates under a Anjouan gaming license (No. ALSI-142406011-FI1).

The site connection is secure and the security certificate is valid

Welcome Bonus

Bonus size, terms, and fairness

At the time of writing this Bethog casino review, the platform was advertising a welcome bonus consisting of a 100% deposit match up to $5,000 (USD). But is it really as good as the suited hog with the money gun makes out?

Here are the main terms to note:

Wagering (referred to as “play through” – belying its American origins) is 30x and must be completed on slots.
You’ve got 30 days to complete the wagering before the bonus expires.

Right, so at first glance that looks pretty good, right? 30x wagering is on the low side, and 30 days to complete it is much longer than the average 7.

Well, not so fast. Read the small print in the full terms and you’ll see the wagering is based on your deposit + bonus amount. Hence, if it was only calculated on the bonus, as at most casinos, it would be a 60x wagering requirement

Not cool BetHog, not cool.

Opening a New Account

Sign-up speed and steps

At least opening an account with BetHog is quick and easy – although the only option is email. There’s no option to sign-up via Google, Steam or Discord, and no way to connect your Web3 wallet. So yep, you can already see this crypto casino isn’t as cutting edge as it’s trying to appear.

Tap “Sign Up”, choose a username and enter your email address. Set a strong password, then click “Sign Up.” Note that by signing up you are automatically accepting the BetHog Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Again, American standards.

Warning: Opening a player account with BetHog crypto casino is KYC free, but due to its Anjouan license, players in many countries, including the United States and United Kingdom, are prohibited.

Using a VPN to bypass geoblocks is possible, but be aware that you may have to verify your identity and address with official documents in order to withdraw. Breaking the BetHog user agreement may lead to your account being closed and your funds being seized.

Payments

At the time of writing this BetHog review, the platform supported a modest range of cryptocurrencies. Notably, it didn’t support any memecoins – not even Dogecoin.

Crypto Deposits & Withdrawals:

Bitcoin (BTC)
Ethereum (ETH)
USDT Tether (USDT)
USDC (USDC)
Solana (SOL)
TRON (TRX)
XRP (Ripple)
Litecoin (LTC)
Binance Coin (BNB)

To make a crypto deposit, open your wallet (the purple tab at the bottom left of the screen), and select “Deposit.” Choose your desired crypto and you’ll be given a unique deposit address (available in text and QR code formats).

To withdraw crypto, open your wallet and select “Withdraw.” Paste your wallet address and enter the amount you’d like to cash out. If all looks good, tap “Withdraw” to confirm the transaction. Note that at the time of writing this Bethog review, all withdrawal requests were being manually approved – which can take up to 1 business day.

CoinBets.com Tip: Always double-check crypto wallet addresses after pasting them – you don’t want to fall victim to ‘PasteJacking’. This is when hackers exploit the copy-paste function to change wallet addresses to steal funds.

Buying Crypto

Unlike the best crypto casinos, Bethog.com does not allow you to purchase crypto via integration with third-party platforms like MoonPay or Changelly.

Game Selection

At the time of making this BetHog.com review, the range of games was limited compared to most crypto casinos. The exact number of games wasn’t provided, but with just 34 providers listed, I’d estimate it’s no more than a couple of thousand. And despite the relatively small games catalog, browsing isn’t easy because of a glaring lack of useful categories and filters

  • Slots
    Game variety
  • Crash & Instant Wins
    Fast gameplay
  • Live Casino
    Dealer quality
  • Table Games and Video Poker
    Classic tables
  • Bingo and Keno
    Casual games

Slots

Game variety

Unsurprisingly, slots dominate the line up at BetHog. At the time of reviewing, the most popular slots were X-Ways Hoarder from NoLimit City, 666 from Hacksaw Gaming, and Snoop Dogg Dollars from BGaming. Of course, Pragmatic Play was also up there with slots like Fishin’ Reels and Starlight Princess

Megaways fans are well catered for with games like Bass Boss Megaways from Red Tiger, Witch’s Candy Quest Megaways from GameArt, and Fire Works Megaways from Big Time Gaming. However, the lack of filters means finding features like jackpots or bonus buys means using the search function – not ideal.

image description

CoinBets Experience

xWays Hoarder xSplit (NoLimit City)

Ah, toilet paper – always a valuable resource, especially when playing xWays Hoarder xSplit from NoLimit City. No, not because this slot gives you diarrhea – but because this game takes place in a Fallout-style post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. Why did I play it? Well, apparently, it was the most popular slot at BetHog when I was reviewing it. To be honest, I’m never sure if I believe the rankings. It seems more likely the casinos just push the games that make them the most money. Or am I being too cynical?

Well, anyway, in typical NoLimit City-style, xWays Hoarder is insane. Initially, there’s 243 ways to win, but this can increase to a staggering 95,760 when the xWays and xSplit mechanics get going. Landing at least 3 Fallout Scatter symbols triggers the Bunker Raid Spins bonus game too. As you’ve probably guessed, it’s extremely volatile (aren’t all NoLimit City slots?) and the maximum win is a respectable 11,030x your bet. RTP? Officially it’s 94.10% to 96.14%

Buuuut, after 50 x $1 bets, I’d only managed to win back a crummy $16.05, giving me a real RTP of just 32.10%

Brutal. But the game is kinda cool, if you like the post-apocalyptic vibe.

Alien Invaders (Pragmatic)

Assuming that, by the time you’re reading this, 3I/ATLAS has turned out to be a comet and not an incoming extraterrestrial invasion force, you might like to give Alien Invaders from Pragmatic Play a spin or two. Why? Well, it’s nuts! I mean, you’ll probably want to turn the music off after a few minutes, but I really enjoyed this game.

If I’m honest, it was mostly because of the silly graphics and cheesy theme, but it does pack some powerful multipliers and a free spins bonus game. And, if you’ve got the bankroll, you can pay extra to double your chance of triggering a feature, or even just buy free spins outright. As for the specs, Alien Invaders is rated as highly volatile and has a theoretical RTP of between 94.51% and 96.50%

Unfortunately, despite enjoying the game, after 50 x $1 spins, I’d only won back $27.80, equating to a real RTP of 55.60%. An improvement over the first slot I played here at BetHog, but hardly out of this world.

Crash & Instant Wins

Fast gameplay

BetHog is one of those incredibly frustrating crypto casinos that hasn’t provided categories for crash games and other instant wins. Mind you, this could be because there’s basically nothing on offer. For example, a search for “crash” only delivered a single game: Speed Crash: Dare2Win from Hacksaw. Searches for other instant wins, like scratch cards, turned up nothing at all. Meh.

Live Casino

Dealer quality

With fewer than 170 live casino games, the choice at BetHog is limited compared to most crypto casinos. The live blackjack, roulette, baccarat, dice, and poker games that are available are high quality though – being from industry leading providers Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live
The live dealer line up also includes just over 30 live game shows, including hits like Sweet Bonanza Candyland, Monopoly Live, Crazy Time, and Dream Catcher.

Table Games and Video Poker

Classic tables

Given the overall lack of categories, it’s surprising to see BetHog crypto casino has a dedicated table games lobby. Even more surprising, 31 out of 32 games were properly categorized RNG (random number generator) based games! Really, this is rare these days.

The modest selection includes games like Roulette Crystal and American Blackjack from Pragmatic Play, Blackjack Multihand Pro from BGaming, European Roulette from True Lab, and some first person games from Evolution. However, video poker players will be disappointed, with just one or two options available.

Bingo and Keno

Casual games

A search for “bingo” turned up nothing here at BetHog, while “keno” did slightly better with two games – Keno Rush from One Touch, and a BetHog Original.

Provably Fair Games

Testing transparency and randomness

At the time of writing, there were 11 provably fair BetHog Original games available. Though they are all based on simple game formats, there are some interesting variations: Limbo, Keno, Plinko, Blackjack, Schrodinger’s No9 (Dice), Thermonuclear Boars (Mines), Hodl! (Crash), Hogger (Frogger), Jump! (Step Stones), Liar’s Dice (Bluff), and Hodl! Tournament (Crash PvP).

CoinBets Challenge: Plinko Low, Plinko High

Our real-money gameplay results

After the battering my bankroll had taken on the slots here at BetHog, my options for today’s CoinBets Challenge were limited to say the least. So I decided to go with a simple challenge on BetHog’s in-house provably fair Plinko game.

Specifically, I’d play 25 x $1 bets on low risk with 8 pockets, and then see if I could beat the result with 25 x $1 bets on high risk with 16 pockets

Now, the difference in potential between those two setups is extreme. The maximum multiplier available for the first 25 round would be just 5.6x the bet, compared to 1,000x the bet for the next 25 rounds. But obviously, the probabilities of winning anything in the high risk play are far lower.

Given the small number of rounds, succeeding at this CoinBets Challenge would take a miracle!

In the end, what happened was quite surprising. While I didn’t manage to succeed at the challenge, I got very close:

After 25 x low risk $1 rounds, I’d won back $21.50 – an RTP of 86%

After 25 x high risk $1 rounds, I’d won back $21.20 – an RTP of 84.8%

Hardly a success in terms of wins, but an interesting (and highly unlikely) result for sure!

As for BetHog’s in-house Plinko? Well, it’s pretty much like most own-brand plinko games. Perfectly playable, but nothing particularly special about it. The provably fair tools were readily accessible and easy to use though – so kudos to the BetHog team for that.

Sportsbook

Standard and live sports betting is available at BetHog.com, although the offering was very limited at the time of reviewing. Indeed, the only sports available were baseball, tennis, basketball, soccer, rugby, boxing, MMA, table tennis, Formula 1, and stock car racing. Esports betting was unavailable.

Loyalty Program & VIP Club

BetHog.com casino runs a fairly standard multi-level loyalty program and VIP club. In total, there are 10 tiers, with tiers 1-9 each having 5 sub-levels. Your rank is determined by your XP, which is earned as follows:

Player Support

Quality and Speed

BetHog.com offers player support via live chat, although it doesn’t appear to be 24/7, and email (support@bethog.com).

There’s also a pretty extensive help center with guides covering everything from sign-up and verification to the referral program and info for affiliates and streamers.

Additionally, there’s a BetHog blog – The Hog Blog – but this is mostly full of SEO content rather than genuinely useful posts.

Plus, you can follow and connect with BetHog the following social media platforms: X (Twitter), Telegram, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

Crypto Token and Tokenomics

Game Tokenomics

BetHog teases about a native crypto token, $HOG. Apparently, it’s “coming soon” and “all your play (and the play of referrals) count towards” it. However, at the time of writing no further details were provided.

User Experience & Website Design

Navigation, layout, and performance

BetHog.com looks pretty cool. The toon-style hog branding is slick and overall the platform has a slightly cleaner look than most competitors. However, during testing I did notice several navigation glitches, and there’s a pressing need for better categories and filters.

As to be expected from an Anjouan-licensed crypto casino, BetHog pays very little attention to responsible gambling. Sure, there’s the usual token Responsible Gambling blurb with some info and links, but there are no safer gambling tools, such as the ability to set deposit, wager, or time limits.

Although there’s no dedicated BetHog mobile app for Android or iOS devices, the web platform is optimized for mobile browsers. So you can still enjoy this casino on your smartphone or tablet.

Other Interesting Facts

BetHog.com was founded by Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones – both were also co-founders of leading American sportsbook Fanduel.com. Unusually for a crypto casino, all the principal team members (including the social media intern) are named and pictured on the website.

Notable investors in BetHog.com include 6th Man Ventures, Will Ventures, Karatage, and Advancit

Overall Reputation

As I’m sure you’ll appreciate, at the time of writing, it was far too early to judge BetHog’s reputation. However, out of interest, here were the ratings the casino had on some popular review sites:

Verdict

At the time of creating this Bethog crypto casino review, it was really too early to draw conclusions. The site had only been operating for a few months and there was very little feedback available.

However, I will say that, with the exception of the horrible wagering requirements (based on the deposit + bonus), and dire lack of filters, I was generally impressed. This casino looks cool, seems to function fairly well, and clearly has lots of potential. It was especially nice to see transparency regarding the founders and team behind it – something vanishingly rare in the world of crypto casinos. The in-house provably fair games were on the better side of average, and as for the $HOG token, it sounds interesting, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Saying that, there’s still the overarching problem of BetHog having an Anjouan license. Not only does this provide pretty much zero player protection, but it also means the casino can pull the prohibited jurisdiction trap on players from many major markets. I’m not saying it does or will do that, but with any Anjouan-licensed casino it’s an ever-present danger (of course, the same goes for Curaçao, Kahnawake, and Tobique licensed casinos too).

Basically, BetHog seems promising and may well be worth trying, but you should still be cautious – especially if you’re playing from a prohibited jurisdiction.

But that’s just what I think. What about you? Have you played at BetHog yet? If so, why not write a CoinBets review and share your thoughts with our player community?

Thanks for reading, and until next time, stay safe, have fun, and may your luck be better than mine!

The Facts You Need

Crypto Casinos: The Truth Behind the Hype

Most crypto casino review platforms and guides are written by affiliates who earn up to 50% of your losses at the casino. They’re financially incentivized to push the casinos that pay them the most, not the ones that treat players fairly. That’s why you’ll rarely see them warn you about slow withdrawals, unfair terms, or dodgy licenses.

CoinBets is different. We don’t take casino money. We deposit and play with our own funds, then report exactly what we find, the good, the bad, and the scams.

Crypto casinos can be fun and convenient, but they’re not all created equal. Licensing quality, withdrawal speed, bonus terms, and game fairness vary wildly from site to site. Some operate under weak offshore regulators with zero player protection. Others bury restrictive terms that can void your winnings. And in the worst cases? Rigged games, frozen accounts, and unpaid withdrawals.

Our goal is simple: help you spot the red flags before you deposit. That’s why our database lists licensing details, RTP info, payment terms, and verified user reviews so you can make an informed decision, not a hopeful gamble.

But we can’t do it alone. We need players like you to help arm CoinBets with a vault of verified reviews. The more real, documented player experiences we have, the easier it is to hold dodgy crypto casinos accountable and warn others before they lose money. If you’ve played, share your story — together we can make the crypto gambling space safer for everyone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • What makes a crypto casino trustworthy?

A legitimate license from a regulator with actual enforcement power, transparent terms, fast withdrawals, provably fair games, and a clean track record of paying players without drama.

  • Are unlicensed crypto casinos always scams?

Not always, but you’re gambling with zero safety net. If they refuse to pay you, there’s no regulator to step in. That’s why we flag licensing in every review.

  • What’s “provably fair” and why does it matter?

It’s a cryptographic system that lets you verify game results weren’t manipulated. In plain English: you can prove you weren’t cheated. Without it, you’re trusting the casino’s word.

  • Why are bonuses often a bad deal?

Because the fine print can make them nearly impossible to cash out, with wagering requirements, game restrictions, and withdrawal caps. Our database lists these terms so you can spot the traps.

  • How fast should a crypto casino pay out?

Top-tier sites pay within minutes to a few hours. If withdrawals drag on for days without clear reasons, that’s a red flag.

  • How does CoinBets stay unbiased?

We don’t take affiliate deals or casino funding. We play and test with our own crypto, track every interaction, and publish the results – even when casinos hate it.
