Thunderpick.io Review

Read Expert Review

Here’s where you’ll find verified Thunderpick user reviews and the web’s most in-depth expert casino review.

Around since 2017 and known for esports betting, Thunderpick has evolved into a full spectrum crypto gambling platform offering over 6,000 games. But scratch the surface and you’ll find misleading or vague terms, non-provably fair games, an opaque VIP program, and a growing reputation for sketchy behavior.

So, is Thunderpick worth your trust, or just another slick trap?

What We Liked
  • Over 6,000 games from 60+ providers

  • Esports-driven with crypto payments and fast sign-up

  • Dedicated crash, fishing, and lottery categories

Red Flags
  • Welcome bonus disguised with 80x wagering (not 40x)

  • Original Games not provably fair

  • Long history of slow responses and unresolved complaints

Esports niche platform or a credible crypto casino too?

Since launching in 2017, Thunderpick.io has built a loyal following among esports bettors. However, today it also offers over 6,000 casino games, including slots, crash, table, and live casino options. Interestingly, according to Ahrefs, the majority of Thunderpick’s organic traffic originates in the United States — a country prohibited by the platform’s Curacao license.

In this original CoinBets Thunderpick casino review, I’ll be checking out everything the platform offers and wagering real crypto. In particular, I’ll be examining the welcome bonus, payment options, games catalog, loyalty and VIP program, support, and reputation.

So, is Thunderpick just for esports fans, or is it a credible casino choice too?

Welcome Bonus

Bonus size, terms, and fairness
Screenshot of 1st deposit bonus for Thunderpick casino review.

At the time of writing this Thunderpick casino review, you could get a 100% first deposit bonus worth up to EUR€2,000 for casino, or a 100% first deposit bonus up to €600 for sports betting.

But, what are the catches, I hear you ask?

First up, there’s the wagering requirement: 40x for the casino bonus and 10x for the sports bonus — sounds about average for a crypto gambling platform. Right?

Well, nope. You see, Thunderpick is one of those cheeky little so and so’s that say “40x” but really mean “80x” — because it’s based on the total of your deposit + bonus, rather than just the bonus like at most casinos.

So, if you deposit €2,000 and get a €2,000 bonus, you’ll need to play through a whopping €160,000 (4,000 x 40) to meet the requirements. Not cool, and the third big red flag.

And, how long do you have to complete wagering? Erm… who knows. The “Bonus conditions” provided on the offer page don’t say. And that’s the fourth red flag right there.

Game weighting also applies to wagering requirements, with only slots contributing 100%. Unless specifically stated, table games contribute 20%, video poker, virtual sports and casual games contribute 10%, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, lottery, live casino, bingo, and game shows contribute 5%, and ThunderSpin and ThunderCrash contribute 0%.

Other important Thunderpick casino welcome bonus terms to note:

Only deposits in the following cryptocurrencies qualify: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, Binance Coin, TRON, and Dogecoin.

Max bet per wager = 20% of deposit

There’s a rather wide definition of “prohibited play” – including things as innocent as switching from low-weighted games like table games to high-weighted games like slots.

All things considered, the Thunderpick user agreement is terrible. The terms provided on the offer page are vague and incomplete, and reading the full terms makes it obvious they are designed to trip players up — giving the casino an excuse to accuse players of “bonus abuse.”

Not a good start.

For advice on finding the best welcome packages, see the CoinBets guide to crypto casino bonus offers.

At the time of making this Thunderpick casino review, deposits and withdrawals were available in a reasonable range of cryptos. Remember, whichever you use, consider strategies to mitigate the risk of market volatility.

To make a crypto deposit, navigate to “Wallet”, then select “Deposit.” Choose your crypto and network (if applicable), and then enter how much you’d like to deposit. You will be provided with your unique Thunderpick deposit wallet address in the form of an alphanumeric string and QR code. Information, including the minimum deposit, is provided.

To withdraw crypto, go to “Wallet” and select “Withdraw.” Choose the crypto and network (if applicable), enter the address of the wallet you want to withdraw to, and state the amount you want to transfer. The estimated transaction fee will be displayed. If it all looks fine, submit the withdrawal request. Note: You must enable 2FA before you can withdraw.

CoinBets.com Tip: Always double-check crypto wallet addresses after pasting them – you don’t want to fall victim to ‘PasteJacking’. This is when hackers exploit the copy-paste function to change wallet addresses to steal funds.

Buying Crypto

Thunderpick allows you to purchase crypto via a third-party integration with Jiggle.

Simply go to your wallet and select “Buy Crypto”, and follow the prompts. Fiat payment methods supported by Jiggle include Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, and Mastercard.

Note: The Jiggle crypto wallet app has something of a dubious reputation — indeed, the website wasn’t even accessible most of the time I tried to access it. Proceed with caution, and yet another red flag!

Game Selection

At the time of making this Thunderpick casino review, the platform carried more than 6,000 casino games from over 80 providers.

The lobby is fairly well organized, with some useful filters, though things do feel a little on the cluttered side. Game thumbnails also have a useful info panel, displaying volatility, RTP, paylines, and max win multipliers.

  • Slots
    Game variety
  • Crash & Instant Wins
    Fast gameplay
  • Live Casino
    Dealer quality
  • Table Games and Video Poker
    Classic tables
  • Bingo
    Casual games

Slots

Game variety

In common with most crypto casinos, the majority of games at Thunderpick are slots.

You’ll find popular hits from big-name providers like Hacksaw Gaming, Pragmatic Play, BGaming, and NoLimit City, along with plenty of variety from smaller studios. As mentioned, there are some useful filters, making browsing games easier.

For example, at the time of writing this Thunderpick casino review, “Classic Slots” served titles like Fiery Fruits Frenzy from Platipus and Seven Almighty from Spinthon. While selecting “Hold and Win” delivered slots including Coins of Zeus from BetSoft and King of Dragon from KA Gaming. Pull-down filters also allow searches via RTP, volatility, and max win multipliers, which is handy.

As for Megaways slots — well, there are some here, including Aztec Gems Megaways and Raging Waterfall Megaways from Pragmatic, but at under 80 titles, the choice is relatively modest. Likewise, the choice of jackpot slots is a little limited, too.

CoinBets Experience

Coins of Alkemor: Hold & Win (BetSoft)

At the time of writing this Thunderpick casino review, Coins of Alkemor was supposedly the most popular slot, so I decided to give it a few spins.

But, after betting €50 and only winning €30.20 back (a real RTP of 60.40%), I got the feeling they meant “popular with the operator” rather than players!

The game itself is decently produced, being a 3-reel, 3-row, 5-payline affair with four jackpots. The reels are adorned with various gems and mystical symbols, and there’s a nice animated “magicy ether” thing going on in the background. And, of course, there’s the Hold & Win feature.

The theoretical RTP is a decidedly average 96.18%, it’s rated as highly volatile, and the max win multiplier is a moderate 3,600x your bet.

So yeah, it’s an okay effort from BetSoft, but I don’t believe it was really the most popular slot.

Cyber Gypsies (Belatra)

Ooof, where do I even begin with this slot?

Okay, again, Cyber Gypsies from Belatra was supposedly one of the “most popular” slots. And, I’ll give Belatra this — the intro graphics are great, and the 5-reel, 3-row gameplay screen and animated background look fun and sharp.

But 20 €1 bets in without a single win, I decided something didn’t feel right and called it quits. Now, theoretically, this game has a 96.02% RTP, a max win multiplier of 8,888x, and both main and mini bonus games — which all sounds decent enough.

However, I’ve played so many slot games that I know to trust my spidey senses when they tell me to call it quits.

Hmm… again, I’m not sure I believe this is one of the players’ favorites.

Crash & Instant Wins

Fast gameplay

By this point in the Thunderpick casino review, the platform partially redeemed itself by actually having a dedicated crash games category. Although in reality, the games aren’t all crash titles. You’ll also find mines, keno, limbo, and various other instant win and casual games (though “casual games” also get their own dedicated category!).

Still, despite the duplication, it’s better than lumping them all in with slots. Specific crash games available here include CosmoX and Need for X from Cosmoplay, AviaStar and Helicopter X from SmartSoft, and Yellow Diver from GameArt.

Unusually, there’s also a dedicated “Fishing” category, with nearly a hundred games. These include Fishing Legend from Spade Gaming, Mutant Abyss from KA Gaming, and Big Catch Game from Evoplay

Finally, there’s a Lottery category, which you’ll find stocked with 50 digital scratch cards and keno games — plus more than a few miscategorized slots.

Live Casino

Dealer quality

With around 170 games, the live dealer lineup was a little on the small side at the time of this Thunderpick casino review. Still, there was plenty of variety.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of the games are from Evolution, with others from ICONIC21, Ezugi, and Pragmatic Live. There’s also a couple from Platipus Live, and then a few miscategorized non-live games from other providers.

Blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, and poker do get their own categories — but they include RNG-based games too, making browsing messy. Live game shows are also available (scroll down to find the category), but with only 9 titles, the choice is underwhelming.

Table Games and Video Poker

Classic tables

You can find RNG (random number generator) based table games, including roulette, blackjack, and baccarat, in the respective categories, mixed in with live games. The choice is actually pretty decent, with dozens of titles from providers like Nucleus, Platipus, Betsoft, and Play’n GO.

However, video poker does get its own dedicated category — though it only contained 7 games at the time of this Thunderpick casino review.

Bingo

Casual games

When writing this Thunderpick casino review, there was a dedicated bingo category containing 25 games. However a search actually delivered a respectable 28 games — including both RNG-based and live options. Titles included EZ Bingo 90 from Ezugi, Extra Bingo from Voltent, and Bingo Power from Belatra.

The video keno line-up was also decent, with 13 games including games from Golden Race, TaDa Gaming, and Mascot.

Provably Fair Games

Testing transparency and randomness

When it comes to provably fair games, there are some third-party titles available in the crash category (from providers like Turbo Games and Spribe), and a small range of in-house Thunderpick originals. And when I say small range, I mean small. At the time of writing this Thunderpick casino review, there were just 4 available: Thunder Dice, Thunder Plinko, Thunder Crash, and Thunder Spin.

CoinBets Challenge: Things Get Dicey

Our real-money gameplay results

And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for — the Thunderpick casino review CoinBets Challenge!

After my crappy experience on the slots at Thunderpick, my bankroll was in need of resuscitation. And with less than €50 left, I decided to play one of the provably fair Thunderpick Original games: Thunder Dice. Well, at least I assumed it was going to be provably fair.

The specific challenge? Get my balance back over the €100 mark.

The game itself looks pretty slick. I was expecting the usual bare bones dice sliders, but you actually get a firing range, complete with nice graphics, realistic gunfire sounds, and even a rapid fire option. Again, this illustrates how Thunderpick is geared towards attracting esports fans and video gamers.

After contemplating, I decided to play it reasonably safe and place 50 x €1 bets to roll over 75. That would give a payout of 4.46 for each win — which could very conceivably push my balance back over the hundred mark.

So, I set it all up using the auto play feature, and let the firing commence…

But after expending all 50 rounds, I’d only managed to hit the target 7 times, giving a total win of 30.93 and a real RTP of 61.86%. Not terrible, but hardly anything to get excited about.

And as for provably fair? Well, I didn’t see any way to verify results — so yeah, maybe this game isn’t quite what it first seems.

Sportsbook

If anything, Thunderpick seems to place more emphasis on sports betting and esports betting than on casino games. The sportsbook offers standard and live in-play betting on most mainstream sports, including soccer, basketball, American football, baseball, hockey, and tennis.

Meanwhile, esports betting is available on disciplines including CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant, Overwatch, StarCraft II, King of Glory, E-Soccer, and E-Basketball.

Virtual Sports

In addition to real sports betting, there’s also a small range of virtual sports, allowing instant betting 24/7. At the time of this Thunderpick casino review, options included Virtual Soccer from 1x2Gaming, Penalty Series from EvoPlay, and World Cup, Horse Racing, and Speedway from Golden Race.

  • Promotional Offers

  • Loyalty Program & VIP Club
    Rewards, rakeback, and VIP perks

Promotional Offers

Current bonuses and real value

In addition to the welcome bonus, several other promotions were running at the time of writing this Thunderpick casino review. These included:

Weekly Giveaways – Win between €50 and €1,000 by entering rank-dependent competitionsA

Wager Races – Win cash in tournaments that run every two days

Network Promotion – Pragmatic Play’s €2M Drops & Wins

Loyalty Program & VIP Club

Rewards, rakeback, and VIP perks

Thunderpick does run a loyalty program, but it’s a little odd. Instead of earning points and climbing through tiers, the casino picks 300-500 users per month, at their discretion, and sends them a Thunderpick Loyalty bonus.

Right, well, that sounds transparent.

There’s also an equally mysterious invite-only Thunderpick VIP Club. It promises all the usual VIP perks like special gifts and bonuses, priority withdrawals, higher betting limits, no fees, higher withdrawal limits, and a personal VIP manager.

But hey, promises are easy.

Player Support

Quality and Speed

In common with most crypto casinos, Thunderpick offers 24/7 customer support via live chat — however, at the time of writing, response times were “a little longer than normal”.

Alternatively, you can email the Thunderpick support team at service [at] cs [dot] thunderpick [dot] io

Other support resources include a basic FAQ section, accessible from the site footer, and a blog – though the latter is mainly focused on esports.

Additionally, you can connect with Thunderpick via Discord, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X (Twitter).

User Experience & Website Design

Navigation, layout, and performance

Overall, the design of Thunderpick is pretty standard. Navigation is fairly straightforward; however, good luck finding comprehensive terms and conditions — it’s almost like they don’t want you to read them.
Also, some users may find the interface a little cluttered — the expanding menu on the right of the screen can be particularly annoying at times.

Unfortunately, as you’ve probably guessed given all the red flags so far, Thunderpick’s approach to responsible gambling is, well, derisory. Sure, there’s the usual page linked from the footer, with a basic blurb to meet the exceptionally low requirements. There are no safer gambling tools, and it’s obvious the operator couldn’t care less.

For useful safer gambling advice and resources, we recommend checking out GambleAware.

Mobile apps

Gameplay and usability on mobile

If you’re brave enough, there is a link to download a Thunderpick Web App. However, zero information is provided, and considering the overall feel of this platform, you’re probably best avoiding downloading anything.

Overall Reputation

Right then, we’ve seen what Thunderpick offers in terms of casino product — but what about its reputation among players?

Well, gauging the reputation of any crypto casino is increasingly difficult thanks to scam fake reviews and biased affiliate marketing content. But, out of interest, here are Thunderpick’s ratings at several popular review platforms.

PlatformOverall RatingNotes
3.6 Average(based on 249 reviews)
Overall: 3.0/10Safety Index: Very Low
CasinoRank: 6.8Player Rating: 6 (2 reviews)
Overall: 4.45/5

As you can see, the general picture is, well, “concerning.” Casino Guru, in particular, notes that Thunderpick is known to confiscate money from dormant accounts (12-18 months), while the Trustpilot picture confirms my suspicions. Reviews are split 60% 5-star and 32% 1-star, with virtually nothing in between. And while the majority of 5-star reviews seem dubious, the most 1-star reviews appear to be authentic.

Verdict

Right then, what’s my final take on Thunderpick?

Sure, it’s a well-established crypto casino and sportsbook that still pulls in plenty of gamblers, especially esports fans, but there are more red flags here than you can count.

The wagering requirements are deceptive, the terms and conditions are confusing, the original games aren’t provably fair, and the loyalty/VIP setup is as opaque as it gets.

Add in the lack of responsible gambling tools and a steady stream of player complaints, and you’re left wondering how much trust Thunderpick really deserves.

Personally, I wouldn’t trust Thunderpick as far as I could throw it. So, if you do decide to give it a try, I strongly recommend keeping your balance low.

But that’s just me. Have you played here recently? Drop your own review on CoinBets and help the community get the full picture.

The Facts You Need

Crypto Casinos: The Truth Behind the Hype

Most crypto casino review platforms and guides are written by affiliates who earn up to 50% of your losses at the casino. They’re financially incentivized to push the casinos that pay them the most, not the ones that treat players fairly. That’s why you’ll rarely see them warn you about slow withdrawals, unfair terms, or dodgy licenses.

CoinBets is different. We don’t take casino money. We deposit and play with our own funds, then report exactly what we find, the good, the bad, and the scams.

Crypto casinos can be fun and convenient, but they’re not all created equal. Licensing quality, withdrawal speed, bonus terms, and game fairness vary wildly from site to site. Some operate under weak offshore regulators with zero player protection. Others bury restrictive terms that can void your winnings. And in the worst cases? Rigged games, frozen accounts, and unpaid withdrawals.

Our goal is simple: help you spot the red flags before you deposit. That’s why our database lists licensing details, RTP info, payment terms, and verified user reviews so you can make an informed decision, not a hopeful gamble.

But we can’t do it alone. We need players like you to help arm CoinBets with a vault of verified reviews. The more real, documented player experiences we have, the easier it is to hold dodgy crypto casinos accountable and warn others before they lose money. If you’ve played, share your story — together we can make the crypto gambling space safer for everyone.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • What makes a crypto casino trustworthy?

A legitimate license from a regulator with actual enforcement power, transparent terms, fast withdrawals, provably fair games, and a clean track record of paying players without drama.

  • Are unlicensed crypto casinos always scams?

Not always, but you’re gambling with zero safety net. If they refuse to pay you, there’s no regulator to step in. That’s why we flag licensing in every review.

  • What’s “provably fair” and why does it matter?

It’s a cryptographic system that lets you verify game results weren’t manipulated. In plain English: you can prove you weren’t cheated. Without it, you’re trusting the casino’s word.

  • Why are bonuses often a bad deal?

Because the fine print can make them nearly impossible to cash out, with wagering requirements, game restrictions, and withdrawal caps. Our database lists these terms so you can spot the traps.

  • How fast should a crypto casino pay out?

Top-tier sites pay within minutes to a few hours. If withdrawals drag on for days without clear reasons, that’s a red flag.

  • How does CoinBets stay unbiased?

We don’t take affiliate deals or casino funding. We play and test with our own crypto, track every interaction, and publish the results – even when casinos hate it.
